I kept my old tour pack from my 2002 Electra Glide to mount on my 2014 Street Glide.

Got concerned because everyone I asked said it wouldn't clear the new lids on the saddle bags.

Well it did fit with less than a 1/4 inch of clearance to the lids when opening.  I used the 2008 to 2013 two up quick disconnect from Harley.  Old holes in tour pack lined right up with the holes in the disconnect.

I think the tour packs might have changed some in 2006 but not sure if it would be an issue.

Just thought I'd share this info.

  I did the same thing with my old t-pak but mine is an aftermarket one that I think is for '99-'06. I used an '09-13 detachable rack, & a 1/2" x 2"x 8" piece of aluminum running left to right across the bottom front of the pak to level it out & position it where I wanted it. Looks pretty good & I have plenty of clearance for the bag lids. Its mounted pretty much in the same fashion that the chopped paks get mounted on a detachable rack.
