2012 FLHXSE Left channe problem

My IPOD started to cut out on my yesterday when riding.  When it cuts out it seems like a blown speaker, but when its good the speaker is ok.  The guy I ride with has the same bike same year and it does the same thing.

Anyone solved this?  Amp, Head unit? 

My first plan is to cut a CD today to see if it does this on a CD, its hard to listen to FM and see if its cutting out.

I pod cable would be where I'd start. Not uncommon for that problem.

I would check the cable and the aux plug . Iron Cross would be the best place to send the HU if you fined you need to repair it .
