Soooo, the wife and I went for a ride and her Nightster decided to suddenly not want to start.
After paying out around $800 for the auto club to take her bike to a local Harley dealer to repair a flat tire on our last trip I wasnt about to call them again in a hurry.
The battery is a genuine Harley battery and was only replaced about 12 to 18 months ago. I decided to do a run and bump start before calling the auto club and I fully expected it to not start being EFI and all BUT...hey presto, on the second try it fired! Happy days!
Now she has people telling her I have wrecked her bike because, "You shouldn't do that, it'll fry the ecu!"
What say ye learned people of HTT?

I can't think of any reason why bump-starting should fry the ecu.
But, if she's still worried, offer to convert it to carb!

That's what I thought.  :nix:
At any rate, if the ECU does go south I'll just fit a Thundermax and find some goodies to make it go a bit better.
