One of our local racing family members had a horrific crash in her dragster a few weeks ago, something broke on the rear suspension and sent Diane Duvall violently towards the wall, she smacked the wall and catapulted 20 feet in the air before she landed and rolled to a stop.

Thank God Almighty she only sustained a fractured hip and a totaled race car.

I am posting this because Shirley Muldowney sent her a card. Shirley, You Rock!![attach=0]

That's cool. I always liked Shirley, she was a real pioneer.
Best of luck to the local lady

She is on the mend, still using a walker but getting better everyday.

Here she is along with a pic of her new ride.[attach=0] [attach=1]

Did the top of the cage break off in the accident?

Glad to see she is up and walking around.

The cage was cut to get her out of the car as she was unconscious when the safety crew got to the scene.

Yes it is good to see her upright for sure

Good on her for working to get back in a car, takes some real passion.
Great of Ms. Muldowney also.

Back before my time she started out racing at local tracks around here and she has returned here many times over the years for special events. Saw her here at two of them and as already stated an absolute Class Act even at smaller tracks with no one around.
