cb microphone

I have an old 1989 7 pin mic that I used with my cb on my 89 ultra classic. can this same mic be used with the 7 pin recept. on the 2006 HK radio without causing any troubles.

1998 to 2016 all use the same 7 pin wiring scheme for the headset receptacle so I would say yes.

but to be safe, I would shoot an email over to John @ J&M just to verify.  last thing you want to do is key up a mic and toast your entire audio system.

that's pretty much what I was worried about. I contacted RadioSound as they made the original ultra radio/cb system and they told me that they didn't have a clue.
I will sure check deeper before keying the mic.

got hold of john and he informed me that it wouldn't hurt the system but it wouldn't work either.
