It is always nice to see when a person gets to old for two wheeled purple bikes, he can still keep his hair out in the wind...

I would absolutely HATE to have to to be forced to use one of those.  Goin from a two wheeler, and its associate freedom, to needing a power chair is something I hope I'm not forced to experience.  (I know ya said it tongue in cheek.)But, ya never know what tomorrow might bring.  My MIL has one and loves it.

Too much horsepower is almost enough.

Bwaahaaaaaaaa  :hyst:

Thats me 02roadcling.  BTW, I got my haircut last night.

My Dad got that scooter in a van he bought to turn a profit on. He drove over here for pics and I put it on craigslist. (and sent it in a funny email to Ray and he's prolly all bummed out he can't take it for a spin too. After all he rides an overloaded slowed down couch)

Listen to the jingle the rumble and the roar.

specialx1

it's only kinky the first time

ThumperDeuce

Knowing me I'd start modding it before it arrived.  How can I widen the wheel base?  What other motors and gearing are available.  Roll cage?
Idiots are fun, no wonder every village wants one.

Probably electric drive, so I guess a cam is out of the question.  And most likely no choice between "dino" and syn oil, either. . . . . .

The widow we got it from husband died 6 months ago (it was his) and so now the battery only lasts a few minutes after a full charge. I think a little trailer with a semi truck battery would be cool.

My dad was 79 and suffered from congestive heart disease. This was back in 1997. I asked him if he wanted me to get him one of those scooters. He shot back with a string of assorted f-bombs with a few other choice words thrown in, finally saying you won't catch me dead on one of those , insert string of f-bombs, things. :hyst: It was hilarious to see the old man go off like that.
He passed away a couple of weeks later. :emsad:

Hey cling,

Maybe if you painted that purple you'd race me when I don't have my wife on the back. :duel:

Last summer while on a short trip, we had a pick up drive slowly past our camp site looking us over. The truck backed up and parked, an old guy stepped out and came over to talk about the bikes. Turns out he was 80 years old and not only rides but races a Hybusa.  I hope that at age 80, I'm still walking and talking.  to him.

BART

I have a Buddy who is partially paralyzed and has one of the Scooters.  He had a Boss Hoss Trike and had a trailer he pulled behind the Boss Trike that he could put the Scooter in.  When he got where he was going, he grabbed his cane, went to the trailer, and unloaded his Scooter, and away he went.  He is a great man!!

Dennis The Menace

Looks like a 4-wheeled Ultra to me.  Ride on!

I like the blacked out look too, rather than the chrome crap.  Stay with that theme, ray.  Looks like you could fit a Evo in that frame, tranny may be tight, so stay with the fixed gear final drive.  Run drag pipes, since there is no room for a muffler, unless you do a vertical exhaust.

And, put some nitrogen in them tires, they look a little low.  I do believe Klockwerks makes a 6" shield for that model too, in dark tint, of course.  Just dont forget the Chubby apes.  Might consider some Kuryakyn highway pegs too.  Just lose that gay reflector up front.

Tight ride.

Maybe if I painted my bike another color then you and ray would paint your bikes purple.
Can't take that chance on public safety, after all.... purples the fastest color.  :smiled:

Bigs

A couple of years ago the wife and I went on a ride with the "Retreads" and saw a old fellow (I think he was 78 or 79) riding his Honda trike with his wife and OXYGEN BOTTLE. He was in bad shape but he kept riding.

remember the 70 year old today is not as old as the 70 year old of yesteryear.  My bud I ride with is 70 and has a zx12 kaw, a 08 ultra, and a 1300 yamagucci and rides the he** out of them like a kid on a new skateboard.

This is my 78 year old dad a few years ago, he has been riding since he was a teen. I bought a RK in 02 left it at his house that night, when I got back next day it wasn't in the garage, then here he comes riding down the road with a hard hat on, that was the last time he road a big twin, he can't get his leg over the seat now. I love him to death, he taught me how to ride.

You only need to be 10% smarter than the thing your working on.
