Just wondering if an ignition switch on a 1990 Fatboy can be switched out to a newer model? When I bought the bike, asshat lost the keys and I had to go to a locksmith to get a set made. What scared me is the Lady from the locksmith came out to the bike with nothing but a key blank and a file. She proceeded to make a key for my bike with just these tools, and in 30 or 40 seconds, she was turnin the ignition on with the new key!! Scary fast & easy. I'd like to change it out to one of the newer style with the round key instead of the flat key. Can it be done? Thanks guys...

Gonzo,
I fitted one on my Shovel no problem, but you can pick them in 30 secs with a SouthOrd 7 pin pick  :dgust:
Still a good up grade.

The round barrels are a walk in the park with a Bic pen and a paperclip.   Never depend on just the igntion/fork lock.  Ray
