Has anyone heard of a 74 piston with piston pin location 15/64" lower?

I take it you want to use these with EL crank? I know of no such piston unless you get a set custom made, and that's possible.

Yes, it seems possible to get new 74" cylinders, and the 3.5" stroke EL crank are still good to go. Maybe 11:1 or 12:1 comp 74" pistons would get acceptable compression in the area of 7:1 or 8:1?

You know, when I was a kid owning a 47 knuckle back in 1969 I bored the stock 61" cyls to fit 74 pistons , not knowing the stroke differences. The piston was down the bore a bit but the bike ran just fine. The next bike , 52 pan EL I put the FL crank in it at the same time because by 1972 I was a tad smarter. :hyst: I'd say if you go to high compression pistons (74), yes it should work out ok based on my childhood fk up.

If your shopping for pistons anyway why not look for what is proper.
