Speaker polarity and identification question

I have a 2008 FLHTC Electra Glide Classic with a AM/FM/CD radio No CB or intercom).  I note that in the wiring diagrams the fairing speakers have a + marked on the left speaker with the White/Orange wire,  and a  –  sign on right speaker with the Gray/Red wire.  My original speakers do not have the + or – marks!  I also note a capacitor to ground of one connector on each speaker.  Is this the positive connection? Or the negative connection?
