Can an air fuel gauge be plumbed into a sensor that is providing info to the ecm or is a separate sensor necessary to run the gauge?

As O2 sensors transfer info by voltage to EXM, I would think that you could not use that  sensor to run additional equip. ( guage) :nix:

If the accessory gauge has sufficiently high input impedance, it can be connected in parallel to the ecm.. It's important both high and reference (low / ground) have this feature to prevent ground loops..   Kind a like measuring the sensor with a digital volt meter. The voltmeter itself should not effect the actual voltage measured.

Try this company . I use this gauge with my Wego 3 and SL1  datalogger .  Don` t know if it will work in your case.
They were very accommodating when I was setting up my system
