Thread size of the knurled nut, antena?

Gentlemen, my  short rubber antenas have an internal 6mm thread, im making a mount and and am not sure what the thread is on the end of the antena cable from the radio??  I dont know if there are differences from year to year but on an 06, the knurled nut, is it a standard mechanical thread or exclusive to the electronic/audio industry.  If its mechanical i can easily make on but if its a specialty, at least  i would know what to ask for today at an electronic supply.  TIA.

p.s, just to confirm, if i remember correctly from my youth and the car stereo days, the antena has to be grounded as close to itself as possible, the grounding at the radio is not enough, it needs grounding specific?
