Went to the steel city nationals yesterday . Had a blast , made 17 passes ! When the sun went down the track conditions got much better . Ran 2 personal best passes yesterday and even made it on keystones facebook video ! Im finally feeling like im making progress with my launches . I couldnt be happier with how my bike performed ! Great job !! Thanks for sharing! Looks like it was a blast.

Thanks guys ! It was a blast , i usually get 3 runs on any given night at my local track . We got there around 2pm and they let us hot lap all day and night . Great time and i gained allot of experience in one day .

Awesome Josh! The only thing better than seat time is more seat time. Consistency is key, and the most important ingredient in that is staging.

Make sure you are in the same spot every time, once you get the staging down the rest of it will fall into place in time.

Again, great job!

:up:nice passes! you are whittling those et's down.
Accurate information is expensive, rare and difficult to find!

Thanks Daren and Jonny ! Had a great time and got some much needed seat time to figure out what rpm was good for launching . Was up around 4000 and it was standing up high . Dropped down around 3300 and it was much more manageable . It was crazy how much different the track was when the sun was beating down on it versus when the sun went down .

nice job Josh. I knew that was gonna be a good 11.50 class bike .  :baby:

Marty , the Steel city nationals is an orginization that puts on big events at tracks in our area . They bring bands , vendors etc to the track and put on a show for a few days . Here is a link to the info

Thanks Jim and Kirby

you better watch it,you`ll running nitro after a while.more addicting than drugs!!

2006FXDCI

Thanks Jeff ! Kirby , you couldnt be more correct ! Im hooked baaad ! Im trying to walk before i run but ive already got dreams of a 4 3/8" bore X 4" stroke 120" dancing through my head . Im going to have to use a different bike for my next build as i dont want to chop up my dyna's frame to stretch it out . I am however thinking maybe a +2" swingarm is in my future .

Awesome!

Mid 11's and solid 1.7 60'-Walkin' the walk...
You will be in the 1.6's in no time and that is a low 11 second bike all day.
Isn't that only a 107"? In full street trim to boot...the dyno sheet boys better not play with your combo now.

BTW, hell yeah, big bore, short stroke in the future. 2" over? Go 6" like my street bike!

2006FXDCI

Thanks Paul ! Yup its a 107" all bore that runs easy on pump gas and is completely street legal . I think i found the sweet spot for launching , i might try softening up my bandit just a bit and see how my 60's look . Im excited that not only is it running great but also the fact that i built the whole thing in my basement over the winter . Cant wait for some cool fall air to see how good it really runs !

Your right the `02 arm won`t fit your 06   .    Ahh the LUCKY DRAG CITY . the original no prep track . A low  budget operation to say the least , but it`s close and cheap and you can run the wheels of your machine not very crowded on Saturdays .
If you ever get the itch give me a heads up I`ll meet you there .
