A friend did 117MPH on a 883 with a Sidecar on Megasquirt

His wife broke the record by 30 MPH on a 883 turbo running a Megasquirt.  It was the first time she rode this combination and did not realize the bike was spinning 8000 RPM in third at the two mile marker.  She told me she could not see the tach and the bike did not feel like it needed shifting, so she stayed in it.  This was all at Bonneville on the timers and the three mile course.  The funny thing is the motor is still the original 883 that came in the bike in 93.  All the tuning was done on jackstands and the brake using the Megasquirt and MLV HD autotune functions.

See the title....  117 one direction, the two way average was right at 116.  Just wait till we get done tuning it.

At this point, he is running like 7 lbs of boost on the spring.  We are planning to add boost control, possibly traction control, digital gauges....  He has been thru all sorts of tuning solutions over the years.  None were even close to the Megasquirt and he literally only got it started 3 days before racing it.
