Heated grips

I have a 1996 Dyna Low Rider.  There are no added electrical accessories on this bike.  If I add heated grips that draw 25 watts any chance I'll overwork the alternator?? Thanks for the advice.

I'm not too sharp with electrical stuff, but... if V x A = W 25 watts is less then 2.5 amps. Not much.

   You won't have a problem with heated grips, or even a heated seat or vest all installed, but if you added extra lighting, you'd better be looking at a 3 phase system. The main thing you'll want to do on a Dyna (or anything), is to wire it though the ignition switch, so you don't forget to turn them off & drain the battery. Just doing grips isn't a big deal, but if you had more stuff, you'd want to run it though a relay.

     I'm not a fan of the stock ignition switches, So I change them over to an old style flat key type & rewire the fuses to make it first click ignition only, second everything.
