120" 662-2 DTT getting ping

motors a 120" 11.3 compression, 662-2 cams, Woods King 505 carb,  Baker OD6

jets are
            52 pilot
           .093 main
  DTT settings
          mode 1
          initial  1
          slope 1
  rev limiter set at 6400

    I'm getting some ping in the 23-2800 rpm range, by about 3k it seems to be gone, I can't hear any more ping. cruising in that rpm range seems ok, it starts with  light acceleration or a good roll on.
I don't spend a lot of time cruising in that rpm range, especially near the 23-2400rpm, but I don't like the pinging at all, in any rpm range.
  I don't think it's lean, the jets listed above are whats in it now, The pilot was  one size smaller (50) and the main was a .089. I went to the larger jets, the bike responded well to the extra fuel, ping lessened a little, but still there, so I was thinking a timing change next ?

I'm taking the bike in to be tuned in about a week , just want to get it close before I go. I was thinking about trying a custom map with the DTT and removing some timing in the 2000 and 2500 rpm range

Question is how much ?  I was thinking 3 degrees in the 18,20,22 map cells. for a starting point. Does that seem right, and the right cells to adjust ?

  another think that confuses me, I wasn't getting any ping with the 662-1 cams or the S&S 640. I believe the setting were 2 & 2 with those cams, no issues.
  same motor only a cam changes.

   One more thing , I do have a S&S  IST ignition sitting on the shelf the last few years , would that be better than the DTT ?

Try backing the initial down another click or two. A custom map after that may be needed. 12.3:1 124 here with a 640 and I'm on -1 initial and 1 slope. Seems to be working just fine.

I had similar with my 120 running Map 2-2 , so I used it as a base made and modified it.
