Not the biggest deal in the world but I just replaced the rear tire on my 96 RK with an MT90HB-16.  The front is a MT90B-16 and is a bit wider than the new tire on the rear.  Anyone know why this is, is there a difference between the B and HB maybe? thanks in advance

Check the load capacity rating?
They don't call me Ironhead Rick just because I'm "hard headed"

In general the 402's are an antiquated design & have been replaced by Elite 3, or American elites, which are light years ahead in handling & mileage.  An MT 90/ 16 is the same as a 130/90 /16, as they finally went to a European size chart, B is Bias ply,  H is just the speed rating.

The rear is a 74H and front is 72H

virtually all brands of tires have some small width difference between front & rear, as the load requirements are different.  74H and 72H are internal model designations. Just mount them where they say & direction (front or Rear), and move on.

Both are 130mm wide. If your front has been installed awhile, it will be wider than the new tire. Normal.

Thanks- Yup the front has been on awhile and that is the only explanation I can see for the size difference which aint much.  Appreciate the replies.
