Hit a bump so hard the handlebars moved in the mountings!

Riding back from picking up the new regulator for The Barge I managed to hit a 3" deep pothole that rattled my teeth.
And, what? The mirrors have moved.
Oh no they hadn't, the Biltwell Frisco Bars had moved nearly 2" closer to me.
How weird is that? You would expect they would go forward if they were to move.
All back in place and properly tightened up now.

I've had apehangers move often. Finally had to pin mine.
Bars that provide more leverage (not drag bars) tend to be susceptible to movement.
They may have moved back because you pulled yourself up off the seat when you hit that monster hole.
If the government gives you everything you want,
it can take everything you have.

Check your tire too for bulges or any other deformities.

I checked the tyre and rim, all OK.
It has caused a very slight distortion to the top handlebar clamp though.
The Frisco bars are about 8" high, I was a bit surprised they didn't come with a pin, but then they are only about 8" high sooo...
