Anyone know what the reasoning was for some Brit companies to use brass to make their motorcycle heads back in the 30's? I not sure if any American companies did that

Don't know why not...easy to cast and work, very good heat conduction. Just my thoughts on it.

Probably saving the aluminum for WW2 aircraft.

Cost would be prohibitive, even back then. Pro's are probably limited to ease of casting, but there would be a ton of cons vs. cast iron or aluminum beyond wieght. you'd definitely would need valve seats for any seat life, machined surfaces, like head gasket area would likely warp, and or bolt tension. But I'm sure the very few companies that did try brass quiet or died quickly

Brass sure would be pretty.

Pretty, yes, but I would guess you'd need to take a picture quick because if you actually run it I doubt it's pretty for very long.

The bike is predominantly copper plated, not pure copper.
The Heads are S&S copper plated heads.
All the copper is plated and all the brass is solid.
Nice to look at for sure and someone out there now has a fancy item in their study to show off and talk about.
