I am looking for the set up and pre delivery documents for a 2008 Rocker-C  FXCWC.  A great friend of mine has one fresh in the crate and well there needs to be some assembly required as you would guess. But it also appears to have a connector or two hanging off it as well. So if any you could be as kind to share with me the documents for this bike it be VERY highly appreciated indeed.

Sounds like a great score

STRONGLY suggest you go out and buy a HD Service Manual and HD Parts Book - should contain a lot of the info you are chasing and are invaluable over the life of the bike

Others who have done per-delievery on HDs before will know better than me but every new bike I have bought has not had nearly enough grease in swingram pivot and steering head bearings - whilst its partially apart might be a good time to go do them

Thanks Pete we do have the service manual and parts manual and a copy of the owners manual. the original is still in the wrapping around the crate(skid). How ever the set up information is not totally in them books. Mainly concerned about what the connectors hanging out are for and if the ECM has any type a program in it. We never messed with this kind a thing and we may never any how but we like to have all the info we will need.

Just a guess....the small plug may go to the injector hookup plug, big plug to the fuel sender unit all tucked under the tank when hook up complete.......that's just a guess, not certain.  :nix:

I have feeling that once you get it unwrapped you'll be able to figure out where the plug goes.

I can't tell where your plugs are located, but there might be one by the intake for active intake (wetf that is) and active exhaust for international models. Could that be what you are seeing?

well i really doubt it was an international model. And only reason i say that is because the dealer it was shipped to when new was kind of local to Western Pennsylvania.

They came on domestic models also but were not activated. Two Canadian bought bikes of mine had them and I had to find out what they were for myself. Again, just a thought.

I think that is the maxi-fuse holder sticking out. It is under the seat on the softail , has a place near the oil bag that it slides into. I think on the 08 you also have to put the fuse in for the fuel pump, they left it out so you would not forget to put gas in and keep cycling the pump dry.
It has been 8 years and my memory is not was it was but I do have flashbacks from the many years of working on these.

Ok here is about the best close up pics i can get with out removing the plastic wrapper

If it's a collector bike, and he's not going to break the seal, who gives a "Potty mouth" where the plugs go?

Not a big seller in its time, but in 30 years it may help with college left in the crate.
In 2003 i bought 1973 tiger 650(I think) with 130 miles for $300 still had OE tires. Guy filled cylinders with oil & parked it. Made some money but wish I had it back.
Leave it crated!
