I have a stock FXDX seat I'd like to add foam to in the riders front section so it will raise me up a bit and then have recovered. Any suggestions on a person that can do this? Thanks.

I had Allen do a Fatty seat for me but before I had it sent to him I emailed to make sure that he woulk be OK with shipping the seat to me in Oz when finished.  He was very easy to deal with, the seat was well done, price reasonable and I wish there was a similar talent a little closer to home for me to use.

Mean City look no further. 3rd seat for us.

He could have sold me more work but said the seat was about as good as can be. I said you just talked yourself out of some extra work. His response was that it is about his reputation. Hard to find honest people these days. I recommend them every chance I get.

Did I mention Allen at Mean City  :smilep: - I had a similar seat, I just needed some cover work, no shaping, no memory foam, the seat was comfortable for me as-is and he did exactly what I wanted, the seat on my 96 Springer looks brand new again

Or, just go to your local auto upholsterer, bring your seat, tell him what you need and see if he can make it happen.

I've had Allen do fur of mine, a several on bikes I was working on. He rocks! Knows bikes, knows where you need support, knows how to move you back or forward without destroying the seat.

There's an auto upholstery and rag top restorer about 20 miles from me, does does a lot of muscle cars.  He also rides and is just as vertically challenged as I am.

I took him the seat off my 12 EG and he sent me home to put it back on the bike and bring it all back. He wanted to see me sitting on it. He narrowed it at the thighs, removed some off the bottom to lower it then put a 3/4" more dense piece behind the tail bone bring me a hair forward. I added some bars with a touch more pullback to get the strain out of my neck.  Before the adjustments I was hurting at 125-150. The longest day so far was 530 miles, it works great together . There have been some wet days that seemed a helluva lot longer but my odometer disagrees with me.
