Like the look. The M8 still has a ways to go for me before I bite.

Definitely done to my taste.  Minimalist fenders,  nice size 130 front and 180 rear tires,  quick detach bags and some wind protection.  Looks nice/clean to me,  although the wheels for some reason remind me of Yamaha Vision wheels from the 80's.

The only thing that would keep me from owning one is the lean angle 27.9* right and 28.7* left.  The exhaust appears to be tucked up,  not sure why the low lean angle numbers.  If that can't be corrected I'm out as I'm disinterested in a bike that isn't at least capable of low-mid 30 degree lean angles.  Deuce/FXSTD and other older FXST models were mid 30's stock.

IMO if a bike isn't capable of at least 30 degree lean angles it probably doesn't warrant the term "sport" in the title.

I got this on my email first thing this morning. Overall I like the looks and idea behind this model. I would have to sit on it to see if I would like it or not. I like the Low Rider best of the new Softails so far. One thing though, those wheels would have to go. At minimum turn them around so the spokes point in the other direction, but still wouldn't like them much. Kind of like directional wheels on some cars, usually the lower priced ones, where the spokes on one side point in the direction of rotation and away on the other.   :emoGroan:

I don't see it either. The exhaust and pegs look pretty high and up out of the early drag zone. I know my Slim's drag angle aren't too far off this and it is my floorboards that tough down and they are low and wide. Of course I am old and less adventerous these days so a non-issue for me. Now that I have my first set of floorboards on my Slim I wouldn't want to go back to pegs again.

At least it has a five gallon tank.
It looks decent, should appeal to quite a few people.
The wheels don't do a lot for me, might be a little different in person.

I too wouldn't buy an M8 for a while either . Probably the best looking of the new Softails but it's just the usual parts bin special from HD. Still we only have another 90 odd of them to come in the next ten years . HD just reinvented the old Dyna T Sport

That cooler behind that worthless fender will be constantly full of "Potty mouth". Got the same fender on the v rod and my center section always has bugs and odd crap stuck to it. Not a big deal as the rad inlets are outside of center and the center cleans up nice and easy. Fragile cooler would be a pain to keep clean and spotless.  Some of this stuff looks good but practical application blows. Same with the single disc rotor.

Sport bikes haven't had any fender protection as far as radiators and coolers for decades and their sport tire compound throws everything.

True, I had Case Tractors that had the same problem and as my house had Magnetic Fly Screens on all windows I just had 2 made to suit the tractors, easy peasy to get the crap off.  So if I had a HD with a cooler like this I'd just go and get a few Mag Fly Screens made.

Make some for the lower 2" of the fork stanchions while we're at it, the chrome slider is going to get destroyed...  :bf:

I agree on the cooler deal. You ever drive through road construction on a freshly chip and sealed road and that cooler is done. I know the one on my 12 cvo roadglide is beat to a pulp from the same thing. But I do like the concept of the bike but am still very leary of the m8 engine at this juncture and I would truly love to buy a new monoshock softail to pay with

I will be taking one for a ride as soon as I can.

From what I read a few days back, it is suppose to be like the new FXR sport tour. Ya, try and replace the FXR...
If it ain't broke... Fix it until it is.

and it has a cable clutch so what's not to like   :SM:

Meh. Needs more lean, mids, and a second front brake.
Get the principles down first, they'll never change.

Agree with all said. With lean angle numbers like that, there is not much " Sport " in this glide. More like, Flat Glide.
Lean Angle, " Is Life."

There are bent tabs on the fender support bracket. Same as v rod and it works out ok for protection.

I love how HD finds people 5' 8" tall to ride there bikes to make them look big.

It has some good lines, but kind of looks like a smaller Yamaha Raider with less performance.

I'm not here cause of a path before me, Im here cause of the burnout left behind

To me it looks like a bike with an identity crisis. And that "Honey, I shrunk the fairing!"..............Not sure what the deal is with that. I wish em' success, but not the bike for me.
