Looking for advice on lowering a Road Glide. I am 5'11 and can't put my feet flat on the ground. I assume I would need to do both front and back. Any suggestions?

Try out a different seat, Harleys  reach seat for stubby legs drops you 11/2 in and moves you ahead the same. you maintain your suspension travel this way.  Bob

I don't want to move forward, just down. Sounds like a seat might be the easiest way to do this. I have a 30 inch inseam. Currently have a Corbin seat that is too wide at the front. I don't want to go low profile because I bought this for long trips.

A friend has a 2017 Ultra low, the seat sucked but was low, he went with the Reach seat over the Sundowner. You can do a demo ride with different Harley seats to check them out. He also went with 12" maybe 13" Shox over the low HD Premium shocks, a much better ride. Still plenty low to touch feet properly.

Meancitycycles can narrow the front of your seat and drop you down too.  They have lots of seat options they can do.

I have a couple of CVO seats on my 16. 2" narrower at the front. At 5'8" I'm flat footed with !3" shocks.

Mustang wide tripper seat, should do it.  A good quality pair of 12" shocks and leave the front end alone.

PoorUB

I would find a seat and leave the suspension alone. The suspension sucks already.  Putting 12" shocks on it sure doesn't  improve  it!.
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

I'm 5'10" with a Corbin on a Road Glide (though earlier bike).  I reach fine.  Given what you described a phone call to Corbin might be worthwhile.  They'll do (or at least they used to) something they call a "nose job" to narrow a seat up front for circumstances like you describe.

The tailoring / shaving of the pad doesn't freak me out.  Will mess with that stuff all day long.  Making the cover still look right when it's done is why it's worthwhile to talk to them or Lugos or one of the other real artists out there for re-working a seat.

Mean City Cycles can also modify your seat. Many here have had good things to say about them.

Try the seat option first. I also have a Corbin on my R1200RT. They are comfortable, but due to the width in front, it does make it more difficult standing flat footed.

I went to my local dealer and demoed a new seat. It was like a whole different bike. My feet were solidly planted on the ground and my arms stretched out. It will make riding a lot better for me.
