I know there's a first time for EVERYTHING................Even the most inexperienced computer users or new forum member should understand the need to peruse the "stickies" and possibly be "redirected" to them for a clarification of the rules, conduct, and expectations of (in this case HTT) a forum. That, and the possibility of having software in place that mandates an introduction as the first post before allowing further participation. If someone is not familiar with the "normal" guidelines of forum etiquette then a gentle reminder could be employed. Lets face it, this is just an online society and sometimes folks need to be reminded to "pipe down", "get in line", or "turn off the cell phone" etc, etc. I've been fumbling around the net long enough to know to that most if not all websites and forums have a "search" function/button and WILL look there FIRST before asking most questions. TK.

Plus if everyone searched everytime they wanted to post and
found the subject we'd have

1) dang near no new threads thus a boring site
2) some realllly loooooonggg threads about the same subject

JMO and others vary LOL

Don't need thought police
Don't need more "rules" to enforce
Don't need mandated auto directors

Maybe we should tax those that don't comply.....

I think this board and the admins and moderators do just fine.

I find that sometimes someone will ask a question and thus put a different spin on a subject discussed before and that may cause one to re-examine the info which is sometimes helpful. I don't mind their asking, I don't have to read it nor am I required to answer it. Besides, I was taught by folk wiser than me that the only dumb question was one not asked. Maybe of course it is best to go by the adage that it is better to remain silent and thought a fool than to speak up and remove all doubt. Nahhhh, no fun in that.

Of course this is my opinion and y'all know the adage about opinions. Besides,  do I know, guess I better

I just did a search on just a thought and Coyote's reply popped up.  It looks like the search may not be looking at the subject lines.

I think "Winter Posts" are kicking in a little early this year.

Can "Admins" be sent to the SHED?  I'll have to check with Panzer on this.

In the "Search Results" I see 3 instances of "Just a thought"  see below pic

1  in the Subject line
2  in the Reply Subject line
3  in the quote portion

Thumper you saw Coyotes reply as it was the one most relevant, if you search again this reply will be the most relevant, especially when I enter the words "just a thought" a few more times.
