Got a 98 RK with inner primary leak, appears to be the mainshaft bearing seal.

Figure I ought to be able to match it up, anyone know the number (not zippers pn)
of the seal, it's different than a HD seal for the back of the primary over the
high tq bearing?

basically want to run over to a local bearing/seal shop and pick some up vs waiting a week for a new seal...

Isn't that supposed to be a sealed bearing?

yes it is
but it still has a seal behind it to keep oil in the primary...

and it's not the stock HD seal, Zippers sells them but that's a week out in order and delivery time.

Figured it's got to be some kind of standard oil seal, that we could get at a local shop

because the inner race is gone you can't use HD's inner primary main shaft seal...

The bearing is shielded, not sealed.

The dimensions of the seal are:

25mm inside diameter
52mm outside diameter
7mm thick

Dang it Hot RK, I was ready to box up a seal and send you one. Have a couple if extras. I'll use them but heck if a Bro needed it, there is was. Hope you find the one you need. If I had the exact specs I could check with my local bearing and seal shop. They seldom let me down but it would still be a couple of days out for you. How about checking with Baker? Spidey.

Hey Steve, I've gotten them from our local bearing shop.  IIRC, it as a Chicago Rawhide #9758

Remove the sheild or seal from the bearing that faces the primary oil. This way the bearing has consistent access to the primary oil.If you notice, some oil gets in the bearing past the seal anyway.
You may find increased bearing life. I do.
Back up the assembly with the # Amy posted
