I got a new present for my birthday, a new GPS. It is the Garmin Nuvi 255W. I have looked at the Ram Handlebar mount but do not like the U bolt configuration.  Are there any good reccomendations? Thanks in Advance.

The u-bolt works fine for me. If you are worried about it biting into your chrome, then do what I did. Took some 3M 77 electrical tape, folded  fourfold and inserted it between my bars and the u-bolt. Doesn't slip, and looks like it belongs there.

I did something similar, except I used black shrinkwrap.  Looks like it was made that way.

Another vote for Ram Mounts. If you don't like the looks of the ram mounts try their website they have allot of different applications. http://www.ram-mount.com/Home/tabid/37/Default.aspx

I run the Ram mount and have had no issues with any scratching or loosening. Works great!

You can also get the piece that mounts to the 2 bolts holding the clutch perch on the bar.
