I will be travelling to the Brentwood, Tennessee area this summer on a ride with a buddy.  Besides looking at possible retirement areas around Smyrna and Mufreesboro, I would also like to spend some quality riding time on one day.  I am seeking input from riders familair with the area on suggestions of roads that would be defined as spectacular.  Of course, one night will be dedicated to Tootsie's, Layla's, Rippley's,  BB King's, etc!
Thanks for any suggestions.

Not sure about roads to ride in that area but one of the best places to eat, if your into New York style pizza is called Cool Springs Brewery. Use to be called Guido's New York Pizza. It's just off the Cool Springs West exit. Good beer too. Also there's a winery in Murfreesboro that Kicks Brooks owns that makes some really good wine. Cool Springs Harley Davidson is just up the street from the pizza joint. Then when you go into Nashville, there's a good rib joint on Broadway. I think it's called Joe's, Doesn't look like much of a place but the ribs are fantastic. Next store is a bar that has bands and most of the members are "session" players, excellent music. Loveless Cafe out on Rt 100 has some of the best fried chicken and biskets and gravey you'll every taste.

Nashville is a great town. Plus in Century park about 3 miles from BB Kings there is the only full size replica of the Parthenon.
Plus youre not super far away from Dragons Tail and Cherohala parkway.

I enjoyed the ride from Nashville, south, on The Natchez Trace.

I was down that way a couple of years ago. I really like that state and the people. There is so much history that should be seen. The whole state is like a giant state park, you really can't go wrong. Take the secondary roads and let your nose guide you. If you need a destination, ride over and thank Alvin C. for what he did. You will be glad you did.

There are quite a number of great roads that lead south Murfeesboro and go down into Alabama. Great curves, elevation changes, but somewhat short rides comapred to going east over to the Smokies. Sorry I don't know names/numbers of roads as I only  ride them when I go over to Huntsvilles to ride with my friend.

Nice area though.
