HQ 6100 ignition module adjustable

Trying to get bike to stop pinging around 2500 - 3000 rpm. I have found an exhaust leak off the header pipe to muffler and it is now fixed have checked for intake leaks at carb Mikuni 42.  None found.  Mikuni says to go up one size on the needle valve leaving e-clip in same position.
I can not get spec sheet on Headquarters 6100 adjustable ignition.  I even contacted company and was told they only talk to their dealers.   The HQ 6100 is for carb bikes 99-04.  Any help would be appreciated.     Pete

 That  module was  made by Datona Twin Tec         http://www.daytona-twintec.com/download/TC88A_Instructions.pdf       
  The instructions  are the same for both ,  but you need the   "  HQ   "  cd  to  program it with a custom map..if you so desire..............bladerunner

Like has been said the 6100 is DTT ignition with HQ badge on it. For now you can drop the initial dial down to 3 or 2 and that will pull 2 or 3 degrees timing from the entire map.

I was not aware there was a " HQ " disc and always believed that you could gain access to the " HQ " ignition with the DTT software and cable  :scratch:

I have a HQ disc/cables for 04 up carb, but DTT module.  You can use HQ software/cables on DTT module but not DTT disc/cables on HQ module or at least that is what Doug Coffey told me 4 years or so ago when I ordered my stuff from him.  HQ must have really changed as he used to be very friendly and open, he even sent me a cutom map to try that he used on his bagger.  I guess getting bigger really does hurt customer service.

 :agree: HQ has changed. That other smo at HQ that fields all the calls is a real piece of work, tried to tell me on the phone that his HQ maps would not work in my DTT  :banghead:

Well that ended my purchases with HQ! 

Doug was great to talk with, but that ended & so has my business with em...  :wink:

I had problems with my HQ ignition; the first tuner didn't have the HQ software and used only the pot settings; that didn't work good enough when I went down to sea level and he also left it with NO ignition delay; the HQ default apparently...anyhow, after a couple of very expensive kickbacks and trying to deal with HQ strictly on their terms (internet forum only...) I had an S&S IST ignition installed and couldn't be happier ('01 103 w/ 51CV). Doug has some top line stuff and I've done at least 5 builds using their components but I will consider no other ignition in the future for a carb bike.....for the price of the change to S&S I could NOT have bought a nice riding day, but I was sure looseing them.....

 I have a  cd that won`t load for my  `03 " HQ  ignition "  after several   unsuccessful attempts  to buy new software , I gave up and bought   2 new DTT units ...bladerunner
