I have been reading about the new SE120r motor and other big cubic inch builds.  Besides the obvious. like needing a new clutch, what else on a late model touring bike needs to be upgraded?  Can the primary, transmission,drive belt and other components remain reliable with all the added torque and power?  Thanks.   

Upgrade starter for sure.  Don't ask how I know.  Spook

A lot depends on how hard you ride it... Your tranny bearings and starter are the first to replace.. You may even consider a Jim's, or SS tranny made for big inch engines.   Your belt will take a lot of power. If you are going to drop the clutch much go chain.. Lastly check out your engine mounts..

Your underwear if your not careful with that new found power.

Don't worry...put the motor in...It will find the next weakest point..

A Baker primary bearing, and a good clutch set-up, are 2 items that come to mind.

Brakes,  they are the first thing you'll find out are insufficient..

If you don't have Brembos or PM's up front you should consider them.

Everyone gets into the more go and the bits that make it run, but remember
no matter how big the engine, you still need to stop....

Thanks for the replies.  It sounds like the price of the motor is just the beginning.
