You spend it typing up your divorce decree...  Finished at 11:30...

I recommend only doing this once every 34 years.  It's like Haley's Comet; the trick is to live long enough to be able to do it again.

Hey thanks guys, I appreciate the kind words.

Went to bed at 3AM and back up at 7AM working on the papers to file.  The wife showed up at 9:30 and we signed and went over everything.  She had put a lawyer on retainer, waste of money but she did anyway.  I suppose the Stipulation could have some bumps but I'm hoping it will go OK with the lawyer.

At 10:30 we went to the courthouse and filed all the prelim paperwork.

Lots of financial paperwork to file too...  But as a househusband, I don't have a lot to disclose.

We had a long chat about how we failed and like usual things I said motivated her to seek out new life and new civilizations over the course of our marriage.  Unfortunately that stress almost killed me and set up a catch 22 situation.

From the title, I was hoping to hear about you tearin' it up at a pu$$y-a-go-go joint, but that was not the case when I read further.

Trouble

No worries. Time wounds all heels and living well is the best revenge. Women think they can change the man and and get frustrated when they can't and, men hope the woman won't change but she shows her true colors after the ring is on.

Scott this one is a used up Pu$$y-A-GoGo special.  I popped into the club last friday night where she used to work just 1.2 miles from our door and there is a whole new batch working these days.  The buds I ran into were having a blast but I just saw trouble.  I've just had 34 years of trouble...

She misbehaved even before she was a dancer; I had hopped it would teach her to control situations better but she just ran amok after a while.  Now her ashtrays are full and it is a lot easier to dispose of her than it would have been say nine years ago when I was totally addicted...  It was impossible for me to ditch her then.  The stresses almost did me in.

I'm too cool a guy to just turn to dust like that.   :smiled:

Take a view and you'd know what I mean.  She was tolerable back then and we were a team, but things failed within a couple years after...  I'm going to win eventually.  But the money tree has left the building and took the checkbook with her.

Hope things work for ya. I divorced at 29 and never remarried until I turned almost 51. Best two things I have done.

Really bad day yesterday.  Today is looking up.

The wife's ORGAN, it's just an old spinet Hammond just got hauled away. I had it under the tongue of the fifthwheel.  Put that back in the shop today.  Tipped over the big pro craftsman tool box in the trailer on the way.  Took my buddy and me everything we had to get it righted.  Fell down across the trailer and hit one of the other boxes and was at about a 30 degree angle.  Just some scracthes and a dent in the back of the lid of one of the other boxes.  I dodged the bullet as a irreplacable piece of electronics worth $4k was almost hit.  Tool box stopped the big box.

Have a purchase agreement on the house as of about 2:30.  The closing they want to do on 10/22; that's just three weeks.  So now I need to figure out where to live.  Haven't worked at all on the shop this week, been too busy with legal issues.

I may just pay 6 months on the shop rent, push the bikes inside and go south for the winter.  Just take one or two with me.

Sounds like you've got way too much going on there Bob. Try to slow down for a few minutes and breathe.

Something about old, organ and spinet in the same phrase gave me a scary visual!

Rbonnr,
No matter how you slice it, divorce sucks Bob, sounds like you're comfortable with your decision and that's a big part of the battle as far as letting go and moving on.  The best thing you can do is go forward in a positive direction with a smile (they seem to really hate that).  I wish I was where you're at, my divorce is just starting and if anyones dealt with a bi-polar, manic depressive, un-medicated, alcoholic before...all I can say is Holy #%&*# Batman.I really want to get off this ride ASAP.  With the exception of my two girls it's been 15 yrs down the pooper.   So...........needless to say I understand and sympathize with ya, keep your chin up and remember life's to short to be unhappy.

Hillside Motorcycle

Bob, Stay focused on your current path, get your living quarters in order, and when your all squared away, take a breather then.
Staying busy helped me, when I went though my divorce i the early 90's.
Hang in there.

Oh so get this...

Rode the Electra to Bracco (upscale bar rest)  tonight @ 6PM. A pretty gal at the outside bar waved at me and I went over to say hi. Ended up meeting three really nice and fun gals. I'm rather shy after being married and lonely for so long; but managed to pop out of my shell. The four of us made plans to go out and play on friday night and asked for my number. Look out world; He's baaaaaccccck!

Nothing long term will come out of this, but it's good to have some gal friends.  SO now I will know somebody other than couples friends.  I kept all them, due to the wife's BS; they don't respect that.

Thanks guys for being there...  And 82FXR you wanna ride down to biketoberfest?  You need to get off the wagon fast though...  Have to look when BTF is exactly my house closing is on the 22nd.
