Hi,
Can anyone tell me the difference between these two tuners? Something a little more technical than one is better than the other. Thanks

Excellent question, have a brother with a new 2010 and is getting ready for one of these...  Here are some of my questions..
1.  Can a harley dealer work with the TTS?  ( Do a lot of touring and concerned about trouble on the road and a dealer saying, cant help with that...
2.  Will the SE Race tuner do okay on a stage 1 bike that is not rode hard, but would  like good fuel mileage and a cool running motor. (Dont care about top end horsepower)
3. Can the SE race tuner adjust the speedometer??
4.  Can the SE race tuner fix the throttle lag on fly by wire?
5. Anything else you all can think of...

the biggest difference is one is no longer available (SERT) and one is.   :teeth:  The product currently offered by HD is SEST, not SERT.  There's plenty of discusion on both systems in the tuning section, but the TTS system seems to be the preferred system of the two with our member/tuners.

My Brother just got a 2011 Heritage Classic and is buying V&H slip ons and an air filter, his Fatboy came with a stage1 and he never touched it since, so it's a good bet this will be the only mod to the engine. What would be the best choice?

Any dealer can if they are used to the TTS ... most I know use the SEST and SERT because they are selling them ... TTS is used by a lot of Indys and Home Tuners
Most Dyno Guys are good with both

The Race Tuner will work fine but is a lot of $$$ for just a Stage 1 tune

3. Can the SE race tuner adjust the speedometer??
No .. neither can the TTS or any other units

4.  Can the SE race tuner fix the throttle lag on fly by wire?

It can adjust the FBW lag ....as the TTS can too

I see a section in my Matertune software for speedometer calibration under VSS calibration, like if you change the sprocket.

TTS Mastertune can adjust the speedometer. It was done on my bike.

I thought the SERT was basically an early version of the TTS Mastertune, designed and built by TTS for Harley and then Harley named it the Screamin Eagle Race Tuner (SERT). Harley eventually sourced a new supplier (probably Chinese) for a tuner which they decided to call the Screamin Eagle Super Tuner and gave TTS the boot.  So now TTS  could start enhancing the SERT without any constraints imposed by Harley which is how the TTS Mastertune of today came to be. A much improved version of SERT. At least that is what I thought anyway.

Any dealer that has used the SERT can use TTS

Agreed

YES TTS can adjust the Speedo as well as the primary ratio(2004 and newer)

4.  Can the SE race tuner fix the throttle lag on fly by wire?

It can adjust the FBW lag ....as the TTS can too

There are parts of the DBW that the SESPT canoot adjust that has been done already in the TTS product.

Corrections made in blue above

Bottom line is if all your ever going to do is a air filter and pipes most anything will help that out. The lag some people talk of comes from several things. Torque management which the tuner cannot adjust can and does cause part of it and the TTS base files already have all that fixed in them, the SESPT does not. TTS had a private label agreement with HD and our product it was sold through HD dealerships from 2002 - 2008 as the SERT. TTS Mastertune is just an upgraded version. You can still use base calibrations that were created with the SERT with Mastertune. This is why any dealership that has used the SERT can use Mastertune just fine.
The Best you know, is the Best you've had........ not necessarily the Best.
