Just an update.  to let people know this was the real deal.  They arrived today NIB fast shipping. If they were any easier to put on they would jumped out of the box on their own.

Whats the travel on those 940's? Dont look like much more than an inch after the sag?

Jeffd

the rubber bumper is just not seated yet.  it takes the first bump in the road to seat it all the way.  I pushed it down a bit further but still not seated all the way and it is over 2 inches before it hits the bumper so probably 3" or so of travel.

I recall reading that wheel travel ain't much over 3" with the long stock shocks.  Not much over 2" with the short ones.  I don't know if those figures represent total travel, or remaining.  Seems sometimes like it's total travel...

They sure are "purty".

Nice JeffD.

Have you ridden it yet ? How are they ? I just pulled the trigger on the Ohlins. Got the #3 #3 and Howard from motorcycle metal is setting them up for me.
I will post the results.

Patience is such a waste of time .

You will love the 3-3! Make sure you give them some time to break in and settle and be sure to set the sag properly and play with the dampening as it makes a big difference.

Ohlins are top of the line.  I have had Ohlins in the past on my beemers and awesome shocks.  I actually emailed howard and was on the fence about getting them. Not that this is a bad thing but I always wondered why there was so many glowing reviews on the shocks purchased from Howard after getting the quote back I found out why LOL.  A good price to begin with but even better price if you promise to write a postitive review.  My one an only issue with the Ohlins that I have had in the past (3) is that they do need to be rebuilt/freshened up every 10-15000 miles which is not cheap especially if you do not have a Ohlin service center nearby and have to pay shipping both ways.  the progressive you only pay shipping one way and on my 440's they serviced them twice in the time I had them for only the cost of the one way shipping.

Got to put about 40 miles on and so far so good.  Not night and day but I also have not set the sag yet.  I just put them about 4 turns from full softest and that is a little stiff yet for solo for my weight.  I like the 1" lower at a stand still tho and hit some tracks that have a big dip on purpose and they felt good.
