Good to hear Mother. Randy is a very nice guy and is always willing to help in any way he can. For a man as busy as he is...he has always taken the time to talk to me and give me his advice...which is always been spot on. What kind of pistons are you going to run with the Hurricane heads, dome/flattop/dished?
I got a reply from Randy yesterday on the 124 I'm debating on doing. If I buy a 4 5/8" crank, the new S&S cylinders for a 124"er (which have the same case bore as my S&S 117" cylinders)...I can re-use my CP domed pistons and he will clearance for them if needed...and hone the new S&S cylinders to fit the .005 over CP pistons I had make.
This is all in the thinking stages...but it my be a good way to keep me busy this winter and do a little 124" project.

For what it's worth the 4.5" 5 piece wheel set I got from R&R shifted during tuning on the dyno.  Ended up with S&S reworked by Dark Horse.
Idiots are fun, no wonder every village wants one.

Thump, I have been told they have dealt with this issue..

This was a couple of years ago, so I hope they have it fixed.  I did like the idea.

Nice! don't see a flaw in your plans.
If you don't have a sense of humor you probably have no sense at all.

I would go with a solid crank with known good history like everyone is suggesting,  rather than gambling on what is still the guinea pig phase for the 5pc. R&R (remove & replace) crank.  Rick

I remember when that 5 pc was the latest and greatest. Just a flash in the pan IMHO.
