Anybody running these?? Im considering getting a set of these if they arent too loud.
Dont want the ears to be ringing after a long ride. Im running se255s pcIIIusb and a se air cleaner.
I know the stock mufflers are holding it back some, just dont want something thats too loud.
Thanks

I'm running them with my Ultra Limited 103, Andrews 54's at 10.2 compression. Had them on the stock 103. Stock they were a little blatty, but quite enough.. they sound much better with the comp. bump and the 54's, a little louder and better bark, but still very tolerable while listening to the radio. You can get them with a quite baffle and a racing baffle. I have the std one that it comes with.
I also have their 2-1-2 head pipe.

Yes, I have them on a 2007 Ultra. 255 cams, SE AC.
I have the quiet baffle on them. Standard baffle was too loud for me.
Like the pipes and would recommend.

CDN,
Do you use the silent insert? I may be getting this baffle, as the law has recently changed in NH. That seems like a really nice option, to be able to quickly pop it in when needed.

I used them quite a bit with a catless header. On 500 mi. + days, and without ear protection, they would wear on me. I tried the quiet baffle and it just shoves more sound down the LH side. But, I'm gettin on in years and don't like em' loud anymore. Just my opinion.

You may like them just fine.

LaserP- sorry for the late answer- no, don't use the silent insert. Still sitting in the spare parts drawer of the tool chest.
One thing I've noticed with these pipes, they seem to send the sound well back when riding. Thought my bride would seriously dislike these. We do lots of long trips, & I thought they would be tiring, just from the volume at idle. Nope- she likes 'em.  The standard baffles have a sound like a big block Chevy with a good cam & headers. Just a touch too noisy for my aging ears.

CDN- Sorry for the late reply on the late reply... Thanks for the followup. I may try the quite baffles though, if mine don't pass the regs. We'll see.. The stds don't bother me and my wife wears a helmet all the time.
