Trying to sell a 98 Dyan Wide Glide with 49000 miles on it. Runs good looks good.  Asking 8000.00.  Not getting any interest.  I'm in Alberta Canada.  Very few guys here riding evos anymore,  All want newer bigger bikes.  Am I out to lunch on my price?? Please tell me what you guys think this bike is worth.   Thanks

Hey Dub, I figure a relatively high miler Evo will be a tough sale, especially at this time of the year. I would estimate $5-$6 k might be more in line depending on specifics / accessories etc.
Good luck. Flhfxd.

I cant get $8000 for my 1999 Dyna wideglide with 50,000 miles (twin cam ) so I plan to keep it forever.

Around here, you'll be lucky to get $6k for any evo, and considering the newest is fourteen years old, I'd say that's about right.

you're out to lunch, drop the price, there are no 'old school' bikers who are gonna appreciate it. the demographic is changing, HD makes too many bikes IMO...was a time when you could get that easy...but truthfully, if its all you say it is, paid for, keep it, i have three bikes, why? paid for and cant get 6 for them, at least not from anyone who would appreciate it and ride it, would buy it then go trade it in probably...looking for a scrappy kid or two like i was 35 odd years ago who will, and give then a deal one day...keep the flame burning...ride safe! :chop:

First off, pics would help us make a determination.
Yeah, the time of year is all wrong.
Kelley blue book quotes around $5500.
Add-ons will not help and sometimes hurt. Make it as close to stock as possible and sell the aftermarket parts separately.
Where and how you are advertising is key also. You MUST have good pics in your selling ad.
It's a buyers market right now with many overpriced dreamers out there.
Good luck with your sale!

Even $6500.00 seems to be a long reach for those, at least around here.

 You're right about the "demographics", especially here in Alberta. Too much money & too easy to get credit.
