i may be doing this also?  what ive know is the altmann kit for the newer twinkies but after looking for a complete kit, not zippers kit to go the tbi, but to carb, this place has a complete kit for carb.  i dont know anything about them, there at $1400, will run the costs and see if its a go.  hit the links.  if youve found anything, post.  ive also found parts lists to the conversions but they involve dealer/aftermarket footwork, these are all-in conversions

Thanks for the links, i along with another member lost a fantastic parts man ( not to death) a better job, any way he was the "Potty mouth" when I wanted to do this stuff so I guess I'll order an mikuni easy kit, find a backing plate at a swap meet, order a motor mount and call it a day, o ya the pet cock kit.
Thanks

the parts breakdown ive found so far are from 2 sources:  the "total" mikuni kit maybe be cheaper in the long run cause you get manifold and air/cleaner/cover/.  the pingel adaptor kit with the pingel valve is not the expensive it seems.  its the electrical that id like to know more about.  the altmann kit above is supposed to be cats arse from what ive read.  it truly is an easy install kit, if its as easy as there website/instructions, with pictures...lol. is, its the way to go for the later twinks.  so the parts below are for the changeover?? how complete??  ill know more if i tear into this 98 ultra later this winter.

This is an Evo right?
Much simpler way is to use a DTT 1005 nose cone ignition and pick up the live wire from the coil.
Hook up a VOES as well.
Hardest part is cutting out the steel fuel feed pipe inside the tank. This is easiest done with a die grinder and ball end cutter from inside the pipe at the outlet end.
