Hello, It's time for change of rear tire on my old evo FLHR. I'm considering Dunlops. My question is; which one would be better:  130/90B16 130/90/16 Dunlop K591 Harley-Davidson or DUNLOP GT501 130/90-16 67H? What is the difference? Thanks G.

If you're stuck on Dunlops, the D402's will give the best mileage, as they are a touring tire. The ones you mentioned are sport/touring and therefore a little softer.

And Dunlop Elite 3's give better mileage than 402's, and American Elite's (dual compound) better than Elite 3.
I'm starting to believe my body is gonna outlast my mind.

What Breeze said.   Go with the new American Elites in a MT90B16 for both the front and rear.

I'm running Elite 3s on my 82 FLH. Better than a 402 as far as milage goes.

+1 for E-3s!

I like how well they shed water in wet riding conditions as well as the longer tread life

:agree: +++1 on the E3's for me too. Been running them on the Road King and Ultra for the last 4 years. My favorite tire for a good balance of mileage and handling.

Like has been mentioned the 591 and 501 are softer compounds and really not a match for your bike.
Ditto the others...E3 or American Elite are your best choices and have plenty of grip for your application while returning the best mileage.  I'd do the American Elite.   Rick

Thanks all. Looks like American Elite MT90B16 is way to go. Was wandering what millage can you get on rear one? Just curious...

Tire mileage varies with the road surface and how intense you apply the throttle and brakes. I could get 15,000 on a Elite III on my '05 and a bit better with the AE's on my 2010. I would say 10,000 to 15,000 miles.
I am an adult?? When did that happen, and how do I make it stop?!

The Dunlop MU85B16 (140) just fits on my 98 RK and Ultra. It is larger, has a higher load rating, and deeper tread. It is close to the belt and rock guard but doesn't touch at all.
