A friend of mine had his carb and air cleaner blow off, it was just hanging from the cable, does that count ?

'79FLH packed down and heading into the Adirondack Mountains, Upstate New York. Tractor trailer behind us blowing his horn.  Looking back he's all over the road trying to miss our tent, sleeping bags, fishing poles,,,,,,,, Does that count??

I've lost each saddlebag lid at least once.  One of them, I went back and found right then.  The other, a friend, who was riding with me when I lost it, found by the side of the road a week later.

I did.

Me too  :embarrassed:, actually I got slapped off it by a spinning suv in the rain.

I lost the rear chain once, totally my fault and I got lucky that it spit it out instead of locking her up. Like everyone I've had some stuff get loose on me. Once the coil cover came loose, would've been better if it had come completely off instead of just hanging there shorting out the wire and popping the breaker. I tossed it but snuck back the next day and found it  :embarrassed:.

HMMM I lost count of how many horns broke off and bounced down the road. Lost a left side muffler one day, went back stuck it back on and used some leather fringes that I cut off of the wifes jacket to tie it up since the bracket broke.
As for other pieces, hell I lost count.... Took a few years to figure out how to keep saddle bag lids from flying off....(with out bungee cords)

Just ride the damned thing!

My coil bracket broke off and dangled off the wires and kept going. Bungee to the rescue but it never hit the ground. Almost counts.

Saw something move out of the corner of my eye, looked down and saw the right gas tank cap doing a little dance before hopping off and bouncing into the roadside bushes.
That sucker disappeared. I looked for about an hour before giving up.

Yeah I was on the throttle and my gas cap came off and hit me in the crotch! Ouch. That slowed me down. Didn't even bother to look for it. Figured it was roadrash anyways.  :emoGroan:

Ok, I'm NOT going to List EVERYTHING, Just the Stupid ones. Shifter, Twice! Gas Cap AND a Helmet. Gas Cap Flew off on the Way Home from a uhm, "Meeting" where Cold ones were Served. Found it Kind of Ugly Trying to See with Gasoline Spewing all over me and My Lousy Cigarette, So When I Realised What happened, I went back to have a Quick Look, and as it was 2:30 in the Morning, and VERY Drunk out, er, I Mean, DARK out, I Couldn't find it. So, Next Day, I Decided  to get out Bright & early to have a Look for it. Went to Where it was, (Or I THOUGHT it Should have Been.....) and as it was Very Likely going to Rain Any minute, I Put my Helmet, (BRAND NEW, 1 Week Old!!!!!) Over the Gas Fill Spout. I'm Probably a Half Mile away from the Bike, when I Look up, Just in Time to see Some Sheeit head in a White Valiant, Pull up beside my Bike, Reach over out the Right side window, and Grab my Brand New Lid! Bastage. License Plate, Tail Light, Turn Signal Arm, Turn Signal Lens, Mirror, (Fancy Dancy A/N Version, Made in well, ya Know....), A Kickstand, a Kickstand Spring, Foot Peg, Air Filter Housing, Air Filter Housing AND the Carb, Front Fender, but it Didn't QUITE fall Off, But I SURRRRE Got Stopped in a Hell of a Hurry! A Seat, Side Covers, The Old Saddlebag Lids, TWICE! Oh Yeah, a Chain, at Least TWICE!!! LOL Probably More, but I Can't Quite Remember Everything Right now. Oh, The Seat, It Came Off when I Hit a Set of R/R Tracks, Doing a Wheelie, for Which I Bled for 30-35 Miles to Get to the Hospital........
Yeah YEAH, I Know, Lots Of STUPID Stuff, But, I WAS Young, Broke, and Damn Near Invincible????? Or Maybe So I THOUGHT????   :hyst:  :hyst:

I tried everything even super glue and that stupid little knob for the odometer reset always fell off.  Exhaust parts were a normal loose thing.
