How do the Batwing Mini Apes compare to the Tallboy bars as far as width is concerned. I currently have the Tallboys and want to go just a little higher, but can't find any measurements on the apes other than they're 12" high.  Anyone have any info or experience with these bars?

I have the 14" on mine. They were offered in 36" and 39" width. I got the 39" and they are just right for me. Wider the bars the more leverage you have.

If your talking about the HD branded ones I have them on my bike.  With the bars pushed almost as far forward as possible and clear the inner, my knuckles are right at the top of the fairing.  I don't have any experience with the tallboys so I can't compare width.

Good Question....and i have a couple. Who makes the apes that come either 36 or 39 inches wide ?
And, i am interested in mini ape that come to the top of the fairing AND don't have much pullback.
I'm not that tall (6') but have long arms (shirt sleeve length 35'). Looking for answers to both questions.
Thanks alot......

I did the Yaffee 10" on my 14 HXS,, no cable changes needed and my hands are right at the top of the fairing,, really comfy!

Every day, I'm one day closer...  WTF!  I'm not near 70 yrs. old!

I was at the dealership this evening and they had a customer bike, a SG, in the back with the batwing apes. I wouldn't normally do it, but they insisted I sit on it to see how they felt and they were perfect! The grips were slightly above the fairing with very little pullback, which was a real natural position for me.  I never thought to measure the width, but by the feel of them, they seemed just a little wider than the tallboys. I'm definitely getting them, will have to change cables and also having them put the get-a-grip grips on.  Think I'm going to be very pleased with them ...
