As far as the radio reception is concerned, I just plugged an 8gb thumb drive, with over 300 of my favorite tunes, into the usb port and let it play on random. I haven't listened to the radio since the first day I bought it.

What's wrong with you, man? Don't you want to pull up to a group with some commercial blaring out?
Or "Tiny Dancer" by that great 100th anniversary surprise special headliner, Elton John?
If you see someone crying,
ask if it's because of their haircut

lets see if I can get this thread back on track... LOL

2300 miles on my new FLHXS,, came from riding a 2008 flhx,,

love the handling,,, absolutely night and day from my old bike..
infotainment is great but i'm not a gadget guy so I am using very little of the capabilities.. I did upgrade the amp and speakers,,
this is the first new HD I have owned in over 20 years that I left the motor pretty much alone,, pipe, AC,, and tune,, power is pretty impressive for a stock motor,,
I like the new controls,, but I fear they are not going to hold up,, time will tell

un-impressed with the GPS,, but I don't really care as I like getting lost,, find the best bars that way!
stock seat sucked but I replaced it with a sundowner,, I have always preferred them anyway..
the 'gap" between the rear fender and the lower facia is unacceptable,, crap streaming down it even if I hit a 1 foot puddle

overall I think this is the best HD I have ever owned,, but then again I said that about my 2008.. I will wait 20k miles or so before I pass full judgment..

well, I just got home from a 2500 mile trip to Red Lodge and back, with a swing thru Sturgis, and I will have to say I am very impressed with the new FLHXS! My basically stock motor performed flawlessly, even pulling a over packed trailer (thank you honey) up and over the mountains. the power was great, the cruise never kicked out and the boom audio worked perfectly. I am still amazed by the stability and the cornering of the bike. it is also capable of killing thousands and thousands of grasshoppers, 2 prairie chickens and a little bird of some sort! in a couple of weeks I will be off to Nashville for the Summer Dealer Meeting and that should add another 2500 miles or so, but as of now i'm very happy!!

Now wait a minute there Hoss, what's wrong with Sir Elton John, Culture Club, Milli Vanilli, Air Supply, Hanson or some New Kids on the Block being on my play list?  I thought that was real biker music   (please don't take that seriously ...just kiddin, lol)

Don't think I haven't caught myself humming along to most of those artists. I have. But I try the check myself as soon as I realize it.
Except for Milli Vanilli. Those guys are awesome!

Rokinrider

I wanted to ride the new RG at Rapid the other day, long line. I did ride a SG,  impressed I like the linked brakes and the ride. But I also test rode the Vic C.C. eight ball and if I was going to replace my rock star 00 flht I would struggle, that Vic was sweet IMO. I still love my Slim with a Corbin seat, it is a dream to ride.
Mclintock! swell party were the whiskey?
