Got tired of dealing with the mess of a filter change so I installed a remote filter mount. Pictorial in the media area. Oil pressure is fine and system refilled in 3 seconds. No leaks and looks good.

Got a link to it? Didn't see it the media area.

Tsani, says access denied, probably why I couldn't see it.

Tsani

Try it now. I think the read part was unchecked.

I can see it now, looks good. Who's kit is that?

Tsani

Moore Sensible Products. Everything went together fine. Easy, simple and clean except for the removal of the filter from up front. I am going to be happy with it. Just stick an oil pan under the filter and spin off. I have a permanent filter so I check it between oil fills.

Now to pull and check the lifters. With all the hysteria about em, now I gotta go look. :banghead:

Can the filter be mounted vertical instead of horizontal?
Horsepower is measured in terms of cubic dollars.

Not on softails....yet. But on the glides yes, I saw kits for them. Also some other stuff for making your own setup. The biggest issue with softails that I can see is getting the line to the top of the filter mount. I think it would need a different type. From the looks of mine there is room to do it.

I also have Mooresensible's remote mount. Along with it we also installed his heat sink/cooler, which fits under the saddle bag. 5000 miles and zero problems with leaks or pressure.
I absolutely love the lack of mess when changing oil now.

Geeze, what's not to like about that? I'm sick up and fed with makin that very same mess also.

That is a nice setup! The only thing I wonder about is how the extra 10 ft of line affect oil flow, any of you engineering guys have any thoughts on that?

That is former member big dans kit. I have the same setup on mine, works great, no mess filter change, quick and easy, no loss of flow or pressure.

I built my own remote kit some years  back. I mounted the filter back by the left rear footpeg (02 Dyna) Makes it a LOT easier to drop the filter.... I'm sure there's some flow loss (laws of physics says there HAS to be) but it would be minimal. I've run it for maybe 20,000 miles now. Got maybe 20 bucks in it?

If your pump is maintaining pressure, flow loss if any should be minimal once the system is filled and pressurized but I am not a Hydraulics Engineer.
Additional hose is about 8 foot. They did discuss flow and pressure here: mooresensible.com/faq.html

That's really nice.  Thanks for posting it.

No Truck, I am sorry to report that I most definitely did not edit it. Someone else did tho. Someone who had access or a hacker. So as I said, if posting a link for information asked is wrong, just let me know and I will simply say "Google It". But I didn't think a link was inappropriate, as I just read yet another thread with a new link posted.

Links are OK if they don't go to porn. I don't know why yours didn't post right or how it got changed.

Well Truck, the site won't let me edit or correct it. So that tells me the site is using a filter of allowable links, whatever, the is issue is the site. I guess TTS, Power Vision, Gatermans or even Harley Davidson is next.  So best I can say is Google it. To me, it seems like a well thought out add-on kit which will greatly simplify a messy task. I have tried the box trick, the soda bottle trick, etc. All to no avail. Since this is a tech site, just thought I would share something I added to my bike and thought was a good thing. Others can have their own opinions and you know how that goes.

I am off to play with my lifters. I would mention whose, but...

Tsani the old member big dan got into a huge argument with the powers to be and was banned. Dont think they want any links to his site posted here, or much less
a posting that would give him any business, its a shame because his kit works very good. I dont think you can even do any searches for the old member as i think all have been removed

Tsani

Well, I am not part of that game and have no time for it so I will not comment on the "politics" of it. A good product is a good product and thought I would share it. Just didn't appreciate my post being edited. I would have done it myself if asked. Didn't think it was a problem considering other posts. Damn shame. Folks can Goggle it and make their own minds up.
