I use my truck bed (full size ) to take my RK on trips to Florida from WV.  Does anyone have experience using the rubber blocks the slide and tighten into the truck rail stake holes.  Considering using for my front tie downs anchor point.  Don't want to drill holes in bed for perminant anchors and need something removable as I have topper on rest of the time.

If you are talking about those expanding rubber blocks with the eye bolts meant to go in the stake pockets of your truck bed I would not trust them to hold a Road King. I have seen too many tanks smashed in from falling over in the back of a pickup truck.

I have them on my truck and they are Ok for holding down material such as lumber, etc. I would not trust them to hold my bike in place on a long trip.

I wouldn't trust the rubber stake hole ties down points, beside the fact that there to hi and don't give you the angle you need for security. I don't trust most of the tie down cleats in the truck beds, especially the fords. what I did was buy 4 ss bow eye bolts for marine use & they were rated at 6,000 lbs ea. I installed them just above the stock cleats in the bed. Very easy to get under the truck and use a large washer and nut & there won't be anything in the way in your bed.

Rubber ones slipped out on me.  Tossed them in the trash.  I have not used these but worth a look.

These are the facts according to my opinions.

I wouldn't trust those Core Pocket anchors either. There only rated for 500lbs and besides they still give you the wrong angle for attaching your straps. Too high

Bolt some "D" rings down to the bed of your truck, backed up by some 1/4" plate. Also, bolt down a front wheel chock. Four "D" rings and a wheel chock, with a hunk of 6 x 6 under the frame. Nail a piece of old rug to the 6 x 6 so as not to damage the frame paint. Four GOOD ratchet straps to cinch the bike down on four corners, and it will stay upright through anything.
