I know this may not be very popular around here, but here goes.  Please keep the negative posts to yourselves, I know, I'm stupid, ruined a perfectly good bagger, cant ride it........

I didnt build it to please everyone, I built it to please myself.  I figured I would post up some pics because I'm sure a lot of you can apprecieate all the hard work that goes into these bikes.

Its got a 124" motor, T-man 662-2 cams, WFO 110 heads, compression 11:1.  Also added Zippers NADS nitrous system to it.

I raked the neck 8* and stretched it up and out 1" and I am running 9* triple trees by HHI
26" front wheel by HogPro with a single side 13" rotor and 6 piston HHI caliper, 18" matching rear wheel.
Air ride front and rear
Stretched tank, side panels, and saddle bags
CamTech chin spoiler
Sinister front fender

Got a bunch of other goodies on it too.

According to HHI's kit, the proper setup to keep the trail numbers correct would be to use their 9* neck and 9* trees.  I had a little plan change half way through the build and ended up changing my mind from a 23" wheel to 26" wheel so I needed to rake it out more to make it work.   I already had a 7* neck, and pulled it up to 8*, that was the most I could get out of it and keep the gaps needed to be filled (weld) on the frame to a decent amount.  I talked with HHI quite a bit about this, and we came up with this solution.  They have done tons of homework on these kits and told me I will be within a respectible numbers and shouldnt have any problems.  They were actually working on a very similar situation at their shop but were stuck with a neck at 7* and said the numbers on that worked out pretty good.

That being said, I have no clue!  My neck is 1* less than the "ideal" kit they sell.

When I first read your post I almost didn't bother to look at the pictures.
But holy "Potty mouth", am I glad I did.
You really nailed it!
That is friggin sweet.
I'd be proud to have it in my coral.

If that was mine, I'd get rid of the plastic piece between the frame rails. :(

The only other change would be the name on the title!

Great job.
Please post more pictures as you continue!

Wow that's going to be one sharp bike when you're done.  Don't forget to post the completed pictures...

 Great job. I like it. Especially the frame work. Not everyone has the skill to do what you've done. Bikers have been making their machines to their likeness forever, your carrying on the tradition.

Looks good with the exception of the headlight angle. It appears to be pointing up. Is the fairing just laying on there for the pic. or is it mounted?

It'll be bad to the bone when done.

I'm not a huge fan of chin spoilers, but that one covers up a fan cooled oil cooler, I might also mount another cooler under the voltage regulator if it will fit.  Wanna keep that 124 nice n cool!

It is pointing up pretty bad in that pic.  Tonight I cut behind the headlight and pulled it down so its straight, then they paint shop I work part time for will plastic weld it all together and do a little body work and make it look all good.  Thats a drawback to raking a bagger is adjusting the headlight angle.  I could buy a new outer fairing with it already raked, but I'm cheap.

Here is the shop I work for www.psychoticair.com

I'm not sure, should be done in about 2 weeks, then I will be waiting on getting it tuned.  Have to find a shop that can tune it in less than a MONTH

It looks to me like you are doing some nice work and are putting a lot of thought into your project.   Great Job!

hrdtail78

Nice work. They ride great so I can't see anybody saying that you ruined the ride of them. Only problem I have had doing these is the headlight. I have had to shim them so I'm not hunting coons at night.  The roadglides are not as bad cause you can shim the whole fairing.

Ah, crap!  Just when I was thinking of selling my 92" Shovel hot rod FLT.
I've got a plasma cutter and I know how to use it.

I can hear the ol' lady now...  :gob:

RedRubi, I wouldn't sweat it, doesn't sound like you have any dissers on this site.
That's a fine lookin' ride and I can't wait to see it complete.  Can a guy have a mid-life crisis at 60?
This ain't Dodge City, and you ain't Bill Hickock.

Hey Jason where are you setting the fender to lower spec?? I have a ton of room and have dropped it from that pic and still have more than enough. I have seen some that there is no way to ride the bike ... well without bashing the front fender.

Negative posts? :nix:
How could anyone give a negative post on workmanship like that?
I can imagine the time spent in the frame extension alone.
Very nice work in the build.
How long has the project taken to the point of the pixs?
How many skinned knuckles and curse words so far?
Definitely need finish paint pix please.

Very nice, thats what makes it yours. Everytime I go into the Harley Dealer for parts, I have this dick salesman trying to sell me a new bike. He doesnt get it. I DONT WANT THE SAME BIKE AS EVERYBODY ELSE. I like what I like.

I see only one major flaw with it....

  it ain't in MY shop!

76, I like yer thinkin. I bought my 76 back  a few weeks ago with intention of selling it.  But every dang time I go to the shop, I see it there, sitting next to the welder and torches......
If'n I don't move it pretty quick, I'm going to end up doing some thing expensive.
