Do they come with oil or are they dry? I've used adjustables many times but never dealt with travel limiters and want to be sure I'm getting this right. I currently have the rockers covers off so I can watch the movement of the rockers. I adjusted these down until the valve slightly opened and have not seen any movement so I'm assuming these are bled off. Is this correct? How far off the bottom do I want to be with SE tapered PR's?

Here's a video showing the installation of S&S cams and quickie pushrods.  Near the end he goes into discussing lifters and limited lifters.  Not sure if it will help.

Thanks I've see that. They use S&S PR's (32TPI). I'm using SE (24TPI).

I'm 3 flats off the bottom. Does that sound right for SE's?

That will Rick.  I am at two flats off the bottom.

This link to S&S site shows the proper method plus has a table of many pushrods and different TPI info for reference.

Thanks for the reply John. I thought I had it right but confirmation from the more experienced is always nice. I should have this fired up tomorrow. Hopefully I didn't eff anything up.

.0415 = one turn with SE at 24 per inch threads...  (one flat) = .00691 x 3= .02075 is where you are...

I thought it should have been 6 flats off the bottom? = .0415 books says 6 = .0417   

I do use the first measurement. 6=.0415

It worked out great (3 flats), no problem. Easier to adjust with the limiters than without as far as I'm concerned.

S&S says to got "X" amount of turns from zero lash depending on your p/rod thread count (which is 4 full turns in my case because I have a 32 tpi p/rod count)...then wait 20 minutes and you should not be able to spin the p/rod with your fingers which means the valve is being held open still. Then you back the p/rod off until you feel the valve close and your able to spin the p/rod freely with your fingers...then back it off however many flats you want and lock it down.
I'm just curious because I bought the S&S H2LT lifters with the limiters also and this will be the 1st time I've ever adjusted a lifter with limiters.

So they say 4 full turns at 32 tpi should bottom it out an S&S premium? Wouldn't 4 turns be less than .130" deep? I would assume there's more room than that in there.

edit : "Potty mouth"... sorry Ray I was thinking of a lifter without the limiter.

It was also my first time with the limiters. I had the rockers covers off so I could see the valves open when I lengthened the PR's. I extended them until the valve opened a bit and left it for a while. They didn't move so I backed them off, at that point it was pretty easy to tell when they were bottomed, 3 flats back and all is good.

Are you sure they were off the bottom?
If the lifters were right out of the package with the light oil they have in them then you may have success. If they were soaked or pre-oiled only way to know you are bottomed is at TDC compression extend the pushrods quite a bit, at least an 1/8", and then wait an hour and back them off just until you can turn the pushrod by fingers. That is bottom and then move up from there.

Right out of the package and extended at least 1/8". It seemed pretty obvious to me they were bottomed. In any case it's running with no issues.

I always lift the valve off the seat by good few turns and wait about 5 min or so for lifter to bleed down. Good time for a coke or coffee break to. I pretty much haven't cared about the tpi for long time now with all the diff manufactures out there either and I don't know what's in these bikes when see them and I make an adjustment. I will use the locking nut as the measurement guide. Hell if someone starts talking or my mind wonders I would have to start the count all over again!

I am sure yours are right but for the benefit of others that may run into this and IME I have seen guys not get them collapsed and screw this up.

 I didn't preload the lifters with any oil this time as I usually do with a non limited lifter...just the assembly oil is in them.
I'll be adjusting them with the rocker box lid off. I figure that the 4 full turns S&S suggests with a 32 tpi p/rod should bottom out the lifter and have the valve open.
I'll take a little break and let it sit in that position for an hour or so just to see if the valve will close. If it stays open I will proceed to back it off until the valve closes and the p/rod spins freely in my fingers. Then I was thinking of backing it off 2 flats from there...and locking it down. 
S&S is saying to go 6 flats from when you are able to spin the p/rod...so my question is: ...is it better to go less flats for better valve control, or do as S&S suggests and go the full 6 flats for more oil cushion in the lifter?

Just get it off the bottom by .020 or a little more to be sure valves are not held open cold. The hot motor takes care of the rest.

so are you saying one flat off the bottom would be plenty then Don?

With 32 TPI push rods, to get 0.020" use four flats. Should give you 0.021"

You guys are making too much out of this. If the lifters are new the assembly oil will bleed right out of them. Tighten them down. Wait a minute. Back off the adjustment until the pushrod spins. Lock it down. You can do all 4 in less than 10 minutes.
