When rebuilding the oil pump I discovered the oil line fitting into the crank case was  loose. No problem getting it out by cutting off the nipple so I can rotate it, obvious a straight fitting will work but backs me into taking the pump off if I need to get at it, gess it could be worse than the pump. Well thats what I need, what to do for replacement mod and be able to still get at the hose end without taking off the pump. any suggestions or tricks or proven Ideas would be appreciated.
Thanks

When they built the 93" motor they installed a really long (couple inches) fitting with barbed end, That gets past the oil pump.  I removed it and used a much shorter also straight one with a barbed end.  Used a socket and ratchet to put it in.  Since it isn't a pressure situation (its the crankcase vent) I just pushed on a new hunk of hose and routed it up to my aircleaner (many vent to the air down by the frame bottom) If I was heading for the frame I would have left the long one, but since I was going up, it allowed the hose to fit along the case better.  A 90 degree there is a bad choice.  BOB

The little 1/8 in NPT fitting right behind the oil pump is only needed if you still use the engine oiling in your primary. Otherwise just put a plug in it. The other one, a 1/4in NPT fitting is your crank case vent and you can get all sorts of hose barb fittings to fit it to your needs, like Bob mentioned. I have mine vented to the bottom under the swingarm with a filter to keep debris out of it. I get the brass fittings from my hardware store. They have a very large selection.
