Bakon

I am planning Pittsburgh to Vegas, flying wife there and picking her up, 4 days
to California coast (somewhere above LA), 5th day
up to San Fransico, 6 and 7th days
over to Yosimite National Park, 8 and 9th days
to Reno (drop off wife for flight home) Day 10
then back to Pittsburgh. 11-14th days.
5600 miles in 2 weeks. Got 3 extra to spare on the end in case...
Beginning of August so Sturgis will be happening on way home...could stop for T-shirt but
been there and know it's not worth the extra miles for the traffic.
Then again...

Me too. I'll take other trips too, but very little planning and plans always subject to change.
Forget the bullsh!t - it's all about two wheels and a motor!

Spring time, the wife and I are headed back to FL to visit the folks. On the way back we'll putz around in MS and TN for a couple of days then back to Chicago area. I'd like to tool down to Arkansas and maybe into a little bit of Texas but I don't know if the budget is there. I still have to pull her motor and fix the oil pump gear.

Bakon, lol done that twice so far, once vegas, once Austin. Pretty fun just ridin' with no agenda other than being at the airport on time to pick up the wife.

Bakon, if you have the few extra days, I would continue north of SF and cruise the Oregon coast to Astoria (or Cannon Beach, and head east on I84  (or Washington 514) through Columbia River Gorge over to Yellowstone, if ya can swing it.  You will enjoy it.

Also, we should be moved out to Lake Las Vegas by early summer, so let me know when you and the wife are in town and come on over for dinner or drinks or ???

from Montana to Deadhorse AK in June.

What do you do to make sure you don't run out of gas between Coldfoot and Deadhorse?

carry some fuel but should not be an issue. We are doing it on KLR's so 6 gallon tanks and over 50mpg.

Myself and my two amigos will be heading out of middle Tennessee around the 1st of June to go east To Maggie Valley and pick up the Blue Ridge PKWY north to VA and then west into Kentucky and then back down into the north central TN and on south home. We will take about a week. Our motto; Ride Slow and Stop Often.

Even with putting 12 to 15k a year on the bike I've never ridden anywhere on an overnighter. I plan on going to Blues, Bikes & BBQ this summer.  :bike:

Pretty much using all the time the way planned. Going to be in Vegas August 9th to 10th. Never been there so will be checking the sites. This is our first way out west trip so trying to see as much as possible without cutting anything too short to see the high points. Thanks for the invite.
