the new 70mm T/Hog for the B3 heads is set up to accept a vent tube from each head separately. I believe the original 70mm T/Hog only accepted a single vent tube from the rear head on the B2's. Now they are venting each B3 head separately thru the throat of the T/Hog before the butterfly.
I told Randy if I was him...I'd vent the heads to a catch can or to the ground and cap the two vent holes going into the top of the t/body.
Well see what he decides.

Ray

Per S&S the engine NEEDS those  lines from head attached to the throttle body to provide vacuum & warranty purpose.

04 SE Deuce

Might still be able to mount a small air/fluid separator in close proximity and run the lines as S&S instructs.   Rick

Drain regularly or it will have no effect.   Rick

I believe so Jim.
Look at the very 1st post in this thread and take a look at the picture I posted of the intake port.

A single tapered Timken wouldn't work so good now would it?

Gonna get this done in time for the first snow?

I talked to Randy on the phone today...his hold up is getting an exhaust system made to fit this 144 and the 70mm t/body back from S&S.
He said he got good news this morning and he should have both next week.
So it looks like the big block will rumble before the snow flies.

Why did the 70mm have to go back to S&S?

groundhog143

It was sent back to S&S for exchange for the complete new induction system for the 144 :scoot:

Sounds good, would you post pics of what is included in the complete kit when you get it?

a Bassani...I believe...it's specifically made for the 144 engine.

that was option #3...if the first two exhaust options didn't pan out Joe.
I looked into my crystal ball last night...and seen an 8-up stainless exhaust being made for it next year    :fish:
I know Randy all too well...and that long ass Bassani 2n1 pipe ending up back by the end of his hard bag...isn't going to cut it for him for long.   :potstir:
He is another true gear head like me.   :hyst:

I talked to the guy at S&S who built Randy's engine and he was telling me that they are also working with D&D designing a pipe for the 143's.  He quickly corrected me that it's a 143 when I asked about the 144.
