'08 Road Glide.
Installed the XM harness, antenna, etc five years ago and XM has worked since.
Hell it worked last month.
Now Sirius XM doesn't come up in the menu therefore cannot be selected.
I have AM FM CD and WB but Sirius has mysteriously disappeared.

I have not been in the fairing and messed with stuff recently.
I did have an issue with the pins on the throttle body harness and recently had new starter clutch installed.

Any thoughts?
I'm wondering if I just need a reflash to enable XM?

Thanks in advance.

If it doesn't come up on the radio selector then the radio does not see/communicate with it. First thing would be the simple stuff, pull the faring and disconnect and reseat the overlay harness. Might just be that or might be the xm module died but something is keeping the radio from seeing it on the bus.

Pull the fairing eh?  :banghead:
Thanks for your expert advice Coyote.
I was hoping a reflash.

It's 6 screws and 4 nuts. Buck up brother.  :teeth:   If I was closer, I'd do it for you.

I know I know.
The taking off part is ten minutes or less.
The putting back on part is the pain.
With the Hawgwired amp, XM harness, getting that outer on is a royal pain.
Nonetheless, what do I expect at 89000 miles?

first thing I would do is pull the main fuse and let it set for a few.  this will reset everything.  Might have simply just freaked out.  Wouldn't be the first one of these (or CB modules) do this.
Politicians are like diapers.
They need to be changed for the same reasons

Could always trade it for a new RG :)
Those fairings come off MUCH easier!
Ignorance is bliss, and accuracy expensive. How much of either can you afford?
